"SHASHI AND I" The first of our new weekly restaurant reviews Shashi and I will dine and judge restaurants throughout our neighborhood. The Lower Haight is as sassy as any other San Francisco neighborhood. Cousine-wise, its over a dozen restaurants burst with international flavors and aromas. One such tummy-hole is Chilli Cha Cha-Thai Noodle Cafe, informal and friendly, as we recenly experienced. 494 Haight St. @ Fillmore **Also for any turntable/mixer/amp/HIR/TV/VCR/DVD repair Shashi is a wiz and is available for hire. For more information please call Shashi at 415.553.4155 From nearly 100 items on the menu, we chose: #70 FRIED RICE & PEPPER PRAWNS OVER RICE, with cucumber and basil garnish. At $7.95, it's a top. #82 THAI GREEN CURRY OVER RICE, w/ choice of chicken, pork, or beef, and with seared eggplant, bell peppers and bamboo shoots-all done with coconut milk. And only at $6.75 Both the entrees came with sumptuous quantity of food full of mystical flavors. For $15.95 for two guests, it is a cinch. Chilli Cha Cha readiliy nets 4 out of 5 fingers.
